for the five days over easter ben and i traversed the rocky mountains, muddy rainforests and buttongrass plains of the mecca for international bushwalkers, known as the overland track.
over a distance of 74km we lugged over 40kilos on our backs between us, from cradle mt. south to lake st. clair.
we saw snow, rain and plenty of sunshine; we revelled in the crisp alpine air; and we climbed the highest peak in tasmania, mt. ossa, at 1617m!
the beauty, depth and expanse of this part of the world is truly indescribable and i absolutely can't wait for our next trip: mt jerusalem? or solomon's throne perhaps? ...
wow, looks like you had an AMAZING time! check out that view!!!! and those mountains are huge! well done, you two must be pretty chuffed, can cross that one off the list :)
