of late i have been experimenting a little with vintage style cards using fabric/lace/buttons...with a bit of stampin' up thrown in as well. i'm certainly no card queen (if you're looking for one see my dear sis' chantelle) but here's a recent baby card i've made for a precious little girl named Leena Reece xx

love summer

what are these things? i have no idea! they grow wild and every summer they sprout up everywhere as yellow flowers and then turn into fluffy seeds that are fun to blow off the stems. we've all done it! the image made by the seeding flower head is now being used by artists and designers everywhere - cards, fabric, sticky wall art etc - its all over the place. here are some taken around nightfall at our place.

here's a peek a some of the shenanigans that went on during australia day. despite a lack of fireworks (fireworks on australia day are the norm in WA) there were many other colourful displays - choosing to be involved or simply entertained by it all was the difficult decision...hmmm...
