pretty in p i n k

little signs of spring!

you’ll have to excuse this epic post, especially if you don’t share my new-found enthusiasm for spring flowers! it seems my lens has got the better of me this time… all the blooms have come out at once and i’ve gone a bit nutty in my mission to immortalise them all.

i was reading an article in the newspaper the other day which said that the first few weeks of spring are the most exciting all year for a gardener – i can see why!

the cherry blossoms are my personal favourite…if i could surround myself in a cloud of blossoms and just hang out there for a while i’d be ever so happy. my mum is crazy about magnolias – when she was here the spring before last it her love affair with them soon became very clear :)

we’d be driving down the road and i would be hearing “oh look there’s one…oh and there’s another one…and there’s one too – so pretty” (this went on for several days). thanks to my lovely mum i have a bit of a thing for magnolias now too:) hope these pics are enough for you to get your yearly fix….xx

  2. mmmm... how delicious! I have always wanted to live in a flower. Do you remember the sugglepot and cuddlepie books? Oh and thumbelina.
Your mum sounds a bit like me when it comes to magnolias! I'm sure Ed gets tired of all the exclaimations when we drive anywhere together!
And the girls are blossom spotters too - every car trip is full of excited joy when the blossoms are blooming! x

you must have got the only sunny day in the last 4 months from my understanding of how your weather has been lately.
