so i sewed !

its been quite a while since i've been on any sewing adventures!

the other day it was levi's birthday (can you believe he is already one!?), and, inspired by a similar bag i'd picked up at the niche market back in april and a pattern i adapted from make it perfect, i set out to make a toy bag of my own (for levi - i mean). what better way to stash all those loose toys.

anyway it turned out great! time to make some more i think!

here he is in on his birthday in his brand new swing, which he loves :) - such a yummy hunny bum levi - love you lots!

ribbons + brooches

in the last few weeks i have been lucky enough to have quite a few beautiful things come my way...

- i have a delightful design market and a birthday to thank for that!

the apron design market was held last month at seaport and featured the lovely wares many many trendy tasmanian crafters. the dick and dora stall was a bit hit :) i came home with this oh-so-edible ribbon and a pretty flower brooch - yay!

and then a couple of weeks later on my birthday i was spoiled with more brooches (i'm definitely not complaining!) - another dick and dora number (teapot - very me) and a gorgeous knitted brooch from christine.

pretty brooches!

anyway i can't stop looking at my lovely things :) - and now, to wear them!

to market

on saturday the 1st of may, the free reformed church of southern river held a market to raise funds for the compassion ministry drug arm.

the results of much hard work and effort by the organisers and stall-holders was a beautiful and colourful display of stalls - crafty and foodie; plants, herbs and lollies!
definately well worth visiting..

among the keen sellers was the beautiful work of aimee & emma for i.am.me as well as a fine sample of works from aimeeclaire's photography.

crafty

of late i have been experimenting a little with vintage style cards using fabric/lace/buttons...with a bit of stampin' up thrown in as well. i'm certainly no card queen (if you're looking for one see my dear sis' chantelle) but here's a recent baby card i've made for a precious little girl named Leena Reece xx
stay tuned for more crafty installments...
