last week dear little imogen celebrated her third birthday with the family and some of her friends. in true feminine party style there were dress-ups, fairies, pretty party food and a delicious chocolate hedgehog cake. all in all lots of tiring fun for one gorgeous little girl :) thanks imi, i had the best time at your party x
introducing my most newest and exciting stamp set! i couldn't resist these three little creatures...you can find them at the small object along with many other itsy bitsy things. in the meantime if you're looking for me i'll be somewhere stamping :)
with less than three months to go before the little midget arrives, quite an accumulation of baby things has appeared on my shelves - many thanks to my lovely mum, sisters, sister-in-laws, mother-in-law, aunties, oma etc for their generosity...the supplies are certainly growing :)
i'm loving it, all the little things are so sweet and adorable. can't wait till the baby arrives so i can put them on!
a bunch of girls and i spend the last long weekend at our good friend sarah's place... the focus for the weekend was 'faith in action' - sarah introduced the topic and we were able to share our thoughts about mission in our own vicinity, our favourite bible texts and many cups of tea :) we were inspired by each others ideas and discussions and came away feeling refreshed and motivated for work in God's kingdom. we had many laughs and got to know each other a little bit better too! more than anything it helped us to realise the challenges and treasures we experience as christian women.
thanks for your hard work in putting together a fantastic weekend sarah! can't wait for the next one xx
this week i received a bunch of goodies in the mail! i am the ecstatic prize winner! courtesy of aimee's blog giveaway i not only got my hands on the pretty blossom photos as promised, but also some stamp prints to use for my card making and some delightful little lace paper gift tags (thanks to Ez at creaturecomforts). now i get to make lots of pretty cards AND finish the wrapping off with even prettier tags...
thanks so much aimee :) your little note brightened my day... and the blossoms are displayed on my newly re-vamped bookcase - matches in perfectly. always looking forward to more of your blogging goodness! x
on the eve of embarking on my next WA visit i thought it appropriate to document my last journey there before it becomes a too-distant memory. just for something different i've decided to collate my photos by colour - my holiday truly was a kaleidoscope of colours! and now for my first guest... * ORANGE*

you’ll have to excuse this epic post, especially if you don’t share my new-found enthusiasm for spring flowers! it seems my lens has got the better of me this time… all the blooms have come out at once and i’ve gone a bit nutty in my mission to immortalise them all.
i was reading an article in the newspaper the other day which said that the first few weeks of spring are the most exciting all year for a gardener – i can see why!
the cherry blossoms are my personal favourite…if i could surround myself in a cloud of blossoms and just hang out there for a while i’d be ever so happy. my mum is crazy about magnolias – when she was here the spring before last it her love affair with them soon became very clear :)
we’d be driving down the road and i would be hearing “oh look there’s one…oh and there’s another one…and there’s one too – so pretty” (this went on for several days). thanks to my lovely mum i have a bit of a thing for magnolias now too:) hope these pics are enough for you to get your yearly fix….xx
here is an unearthed picture of dory and mum on a lovely autumn day in may... you've got to love the sisterliness in this photo...I hope I look as amazing as they do in 25 years time :)
of late we have had some sensationally wild weather; flooding, gales, hail and snow, we've had it all. trevallyn dam has been overflowing and the basin has been in flood mode for the last few weeks because of all the rain! many rivers in towns around our little island have broken their banks and caused flooding over roads, bridges and towns. and its still raining! not sure when it's going to let up but let me know when it does so i can take down my dyke :)
here are some fun pictures, the first of the wild river carving its way through the gorge near the swinging bridge at nightfall and the second of the dam at trevallyn overflowing.
